SUPERBEAKER?!

There hasn't been a Hoverboy figure made since the one for the HOVERBOY/METAL GUY ACTION HOUR in the late 1970's, so I guess this Comicon Exclusive Muppets figure by Palisades is as close as you're going to get.

The figure looks to be inspired by not only Hoverboy, but The Rocketeer as well- which was inspired by Republic Serial's KING OF THE ROCKETMEN, which was a character created when Republic couldn't come to an agreement to option Hoverboy in the early 1940's.

The bucket looks like the post-War era Hoverboy, with the speaker on the front. But it also has the handle, which didn't start showing up in the comics until the mid 1950's.
